In the summer take advantage of seven miles of sandy beaches, miles of hiking trails, canoeing in the lagoons, boating, scuba diving, fishing, biking, rollerblading, and bird-watching. There are many picnic areas and a wonderful nature center displaying local wildlife unique to the park. In the winter months, there is free cross-country skiing, ice skating, and ice fishing. Asbury Woods is a 200-acre tract of wetlands, trails, forests, streams, fields and historic properties. Located just one and a half miles away it is one of the premier environmental centers in northwestern Pennsylvania, providing educational and recreational opportunities to more than 130,000 visitors annually.
